    Bar – Examples of Bowls and Platters

    Garlic Soup served with Warm Oven Baked Bread. Classic Spanish soup based on a rich chicken-based stock, smoked paprika, lashings of garlic and chorizo morsels.  (£5.00)

    Pan-fried Mushrooms.  A selection of seasonal mushrooms, pan-fried with lemon, garlic and parsley. The dish is served with warm bread (£5.00)

    Couscous Salad. A taste of Morocco. A warm couscous salad consisting of wild mushroom, red onion, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic and flaked almonds. (£5.00)

    Greek Goats Cheese Parcels. A freshly baked goats cheese and basil filo pastry parcel served with a balsamic rocket salad. (£5.00)

    Chorizo Tortillas. A warming dish. Chorizo sautéed with diced potatoes, onions, garlic and tomatoes. The dish is served with sour crème and tortilla wraps. (£5.00)

    Greek Meatballs. A delightful dish. Lamb meatballs in a rich tomato, onion and lemon sauce. The meatballs have been marinated overnight in Ouzo to give this dish that truly authentic taste. (£5.00)

    Shredded Duck. A richly flavoured dish. Shredded spiced duck is served with an aubergine salsa, pumpkin seeds and a small couscous salad. (£5.00)

    Gambas Pil Pil. A seafood favourite. King prawns cooked in a reduced white wine, olive oil, garlic, dried red chilli sauce served with warm focaccia bread. (£7.50)

    Baked Aubergine. A truly fantastic Greek dish, lightly fried aubergine is baked in a reduced tomato and rosemary sauce. The dish is topped with lashings of cheese prior to baking. (£5.00)

    Mediterranean Vegetarian Platter. Selection of warm goats cheese; beef tomatoes with aged balsamic vinegar and fresh basil; wild mushrooms and tortellini salad; Greek olives; warm couscous salad with baked aubergine and roasted pine nuts. Served with warm bread. (enough for two) (£12.50)

    Mediterranean Meat Platter. Selection of cold continental meats including Serrano ham, Bresaola, premium chorizo and dry cured ham. The platter is served with a fig and red onion chutney, selection of farm house cheeses, beef tomatoes with aged balsamic vinegar and fresh basil. Served with warmed bread (enough for two) (£13.00)

    Moules Marinières. A classic French dish, mussels cooked in white wine, cream, garlic and parsley. Served with Gruyere crostinis. (£7.50)

    Seafood Paella. A truly wonderful Spanish favourite. Full-flavoured paella made with king prawns, squid, mussels, red and green peppers, beef tomatoes and garlic. The dish is served with 3 tantalising dips from Spain, the Subcontinent and the Far East. (£7.50)  

     

     

    Restaurant Entrees

    Gazpacho with Roasted Garlic and Basil Ciabatta. Fabulous chilled tomato soup with extra virgin olive oil with Spanish onions, herbs and roasted red peppers.  (£5.50)

    Pancetta and Rocket Salad. Wonderfully warm Italian salad containing chestnut mushrooms, garlic and aged balsamic vinegar. The dish is served with an aromatic basil ciabatta. (£6.00)

    Red Onion Tart. This Southern French favourite is topped with Brie De Meaux, hazelnuts, aged balsamic dressing and served with a chicory salad. (£6.00)

    Goats Cheese Parcels. These Southern French parcels are made with sun blushed tomatoes, filo pastry and served with a spicy sauce. (£5.50)

    Artichoke and Lemon Salad with Honey and Almonds. This wonderfully fresh salad from Sicily can be served with Bresaola and Napoli Salami (£7.50)

    Skewered Monkfish. Skewered monkfish with roasted peppers, dressed with olive oil, lime and crushed spices served with a sun-blushed tomato and Mediterranean potato and black olive salad. (£7.50)

    Coriander and Lime flavoured Tiger Prawns.  Large juicy tiger prawns steeped in a mixture of lime juice, coriander leaves, and garlic and chilli then pan fried and served to you with warm bread. (£7.50)

    The Goan Seafood Selection. A delightful treat for seafood lovers containing a mixed selection of 3 types of fish. Salmon Tikka. Juicy salmon marinated in lemon juice, ginger, garlic, yoghurt and a mix of Eastern spices and fresh coriander. Cod Croquettes. A lightly spiced fried fish croquette containing ginger, garlic, green chilli, and fresh coriander. Stuffed Prawn Papad. These traditional papads are stuffed with a sumptuous prawn filling incorporating a tangy masala of onions, garlic, ginger, cloves, red chillies and sherry. (£7.50)

    Masala Calamari. Sautéed calamari, in a traditional Goan masala of coriander and cumin seeds, garlic and lemon juice. The dish is accompanied by thick flakes of potato, which have been rubbed in sea salt.(£6.50)

    Crispy Steak served with Mange Tout.  Flattened fillets of marinated beef are flash fried to release a wonderful spicy garlic and ginger flavour.  (£6.50)

    Peppered Seared Sirloin Salad. This Italian salad is made with barley, grapes, toasted flaked almonds and mixed with a horseradish sauce (£7.00)

     


    Restaurant Mains

    Grilled Swordfish.  Fresh succulent swordfish flavoured with citrus zest and olive oil and served with roasted beetroot, almonds, grilled leeks and Harissa sauce. (£12.50)

    Seafood Paella. A truly wonderful Spanish favourite. A full flavoured paella made with king prawns, squid, mussels, red and green peppers, beef tomatoes and garlic. The dish is served with 3 tantalising dips from Spain, the Subcontinent and the Far East.  (£13.50)

    Coq au Vin. Chicken breast slowly cooked in red wine, button mushrooms, aromatic vegetables, bay leaves and peppercorns. The dish is served with wild rice and crispy bacon lardons. (£11.50)

    Fillet of Pork Serranitos. The fillet of pork is marinated with garlic and smoked paprika and olive oil. The dish is served with turmeric baked sweet potatoes and crispy diced chorizo (£13.50)

    Lamb Fillet in a Red Wine and Honey Mustard Sauce.   The lamb fillets are marinated overnight in thyme, rosemary and garlic and then pan-fried to your taste. The dish is finished with an enticing serving of pan-fried diced potatoes cooked with chorizo, onions, herbs and garlic and steamed long beans. (£15.50)

    Vegetarian Risotto. A creamy risotto made with roasted plump aubergines, globe artichokes, red peppers, courgettes, asparagus, sun blushed tomatoes, shallots, garlic and topped with shavings of Parmesan (£10.50)

    Couscous Crusted Aubergine.  Served with wilted spinach and Mediterranean risotto with Parmesan. (£11.00)

    Grilled Fig Salad. Salad of grilled figs with pecan, oven baked sweet potatoes, selection of wild mushrooms, rocket and served with a roasted garlic sauce. (£11.00)

    Tender Lamb Goan Curry. Tender pieces of lamb cooked in a thick creamy brown coconut sauce with Kashmiri chillies, ginger, garlic and freshly roasted spices. The dish is served with pulao rice (£12.50)

    Swordfish Caldin. A traditional Goan celebration curry. Large succulent pieces of swordfish cooked in a light but sweet coconut sauce made with green chilli, tamarind, ginger, garlic, and coriander seeds. The dish is served with pulao rice (£12.50)

    Pork Sorpatel. A highly flavoured and fiery celebration curry cooked with Kashmiri chillies, aged vinegar, and a Goan masala containing ginger, garlic, root turmeric, Kashmiri chillies, cumin seeds and tamarind. The dish is served with pulao rice (£12.00)

    Chicken Cafreal. Juicy chicken pieces mixed with crispy potato slices and cooked in a thick coriander leaf, green chilly, cumin seed and ginger sauce. The dish is served with pulao rice(£12.50)

    Grilled Mackerel. A grilled mackerel stuffed with a traditional Goan masala containing ginger, garlic, Kashmiri chillies, Sherry and Feni vinegar. The dish is served with steamed rice and  a small green leaf salad (£11.50)
